Reviews
Movies, books, television, scripts, bottoms, whatever. Not music. Music is just: "what you like" or "what you do not."
Movies, books, television, scripts, bottoms, whatever. Not music. Music is just: "what you like" or "what you do not."
Just ratings for now, I will post the reviews as I can be bothered. Note the unusual scale: 5,4 & 3 would be good enough to make it onto my favourite movies list; 2 is still a decent program and 1 is okay only if you are drunk, stoned, beaten repeatedly over the head with a 16pound hammer or, for preference, all three. In brackets is what made the movie a bit special or, alternatively, rubbish.

Comedy & Satire
The Daily Show Global Edition [3]
More reliable news than most of the networks even though it's a news parody,
showing in South Africa on CNN
League of Gentlemen [4]
The world's first ever horror comedy, not spoof horror, TV series- as ground breaking as the Pythons in their day,
not currently broadcast in South Africa
Little Britain [3]
Just because I cannot rid myself of addiction to the running gag,
broadcast on BBC Prime
Black Books [5]
Quite simply the best delivered, best written sitcom in recent years. I have only seen first series.
not currently broadcast in South Africa
Coupling [4] then [2]
The best observed situational comedy to do with relationships. Ever. Excellent for at least the first 2 seasons after which it loses an important character and goes downhill.
showing on BBC Prime
Drama
Boston Legal [4]
The USA allows the joys of cutting, acerbic wit to make it into a major network show, what joy,
showing in South Africa on Monday evenings on Satellite
Sci-Fi
Battlestar Galactica [3]
A dark remake more in tune with the original vision of the writers.

Summary: 6- irrational love | 5- outstanding | 4- excellent | 3- impressive | 2a- easy, fun, light read | 2b- Intriguing but a tough read | 1- badly written regardless of ideas | 0- run away |

Just ratings for now, I will post the reviews as I can be bothered. Note the unusual scale: 6 is lust (adoration if you're feeling pathetic and weepy), 5 is admiration of a unique talent or deeds, 4 is "has entertained me", 3-1 is pathetic if you're on a famous scale and have consequently been deleted from my memory, 0 is "self publicising dullard", [-1] is idiot and [-*] is when I have to replace my television if they come on the screen.
Why [-*] you ask? Because I do not know how to do an infinity symbol in HTML.
6 lust | 5 unique | 4 entertaining | 0 publicity whore | -1 idiot | -* someone please kill these people. pretty please?
